DIAMOND, Mo. —
Susan Greer, 90, Diamond, Mo., entered into rest on April 30, 2013, at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 5, 1923, in Granby, Mo., to George A. and Ira B. (Sturgeon) Capps.
Susan was a lifelong resident of the Granby, Diamond area. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Diamond. She was also a past member of Silver Bells at First Baptist Church and Diamond Baptist Senior Citizens. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Susan married Dallas Greer on April 19, 1941. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1986.
She is also preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
Susan is survived by her children, Donna Hansford and husband, Fred, of Granby, Evelyn Askins and husband, Jim, of Diamond, Thomas E. Greer, of Diamond; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy Boutelle, of Rochester, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Diamond Baptist Church, Diamond, Rev. Ron Crow officiating. Interment will be in Diamond Cemetery Diamond. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Askins, Doug Hansford, Austin Hansford, Chris Sonksen, Cole Sonksen and Gary Boutelle. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Clark Funeral Home Neosho.
