Stanley E. Wells

STARK CITY, Mo. —   

Stanley E. Wells, 85, Stark City, Mo., entered into rest on May 8, 2013, at his home following an illness.

He was born April 4, 1928, in Sapulpa, Okla., to Chester Arthur and Linnie Louella (Cazzell) Wells.

Stanley worked as a utility supervisor for Oklahoma Natural Gas in Tulsa, Okla. He served our country in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. Stanley enjoyed farming and gardening in addition to his dogs, "Little Girl" and "Molly". He also volunteered as a "Friend of Jolly Mill". He was a member of Calvary Chapel, Monett; Pastor Dennis Burge. He was also a Deacon at Southside Christian church in Sapulpa, Okla.

Stanley married Nellie Coy and she survives. He is also survived by his children, LouAnne Clark and husband, Richard, of Bristow, Okla., Marsha Stanford and husband, Steve, of Newtonia, Mo., and Debra Sivadon and husband, Mark, of Newtonia, Mo.; grandchildren, Daniel Contreras, April Mitchell, Missy Perryman, Phillip Stanford, Christi Henson, Savanah Highfield and Tyler Sivadon; and 10 great-grandchildren. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Green Hill Cemetery, Sapulpa; Pastor Dennis Burge officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Contreras, Phillip Stanford, Tyler Sivadon, Christian Giordano, Austin Henson and James Mitchell; honorary pallbearers, Steve Stanford, Richard Clark, Mark Sivadon and Scott Highfield. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Clark Funeral Home Granby, Mo. Pastor Dennis Burge will be in attendance.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Granby.
