JOPLIN, MO —
Ralph Eugene "Gene" Cline, age 73, of Joplin, Mo., passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.
He was born in Anderson, Mo., on Dec. 24, 1938, to Ralph L. and Mable Cline. Ralph lived most of his life in Joplin, worked as a welder and retired from Cardinal Scale in 2000. Post retirement, Ralph worked as a security guard for Tri-State Motor Transit until 2009. In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching Cardinal baseball.
Ralph married Shirley A Williams in 1991.
He is survived by a step-son, Bill Dooling and wife, Kim, of Carl Junction; two grandsons, Tyler Dooling and wife, Jada, of Springfield, and Jake Dooling, of Carl Junction; one great-grandson, Jude Dooling; two brothers, Larry and wife, Sue and Jimmy Cline, both of Joplin; a sister, Virginia Moore and husband, Wayne, of Goodman; three nieces, Connie, Linda and Samantha; three nephews, Doug, Chris and Jeff; and several great-nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Cline; and a nephew, Mark.
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Byers Avenue United Methodist Church in Joplin.
