O'FALLON, MO — Bonnie Ruth Harmon Blagg, age 86, of Carl Junction, passed away peacefully at her home at 8:58 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010. Born Sept. 27, 1924, in Joplin, she was the daughter of the late Ollie J. Harmon and Katherine E. Lea Harmon and lived in the area her lifetime. She worked 37 years in food service at Joplin Junior College and MSSU. She attended Central Christian Center. She was a very loving person and her relationships with her children, grandchildren, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren were so important to her. She married Leo Edward (Lee) Blagg on Feb. 7, 1942, in Joplin. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2001. A sister, Ada Mauller, and a brother, Ron Harmon, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Fay Petty and husband Jerry, of Carl Junction; a granddaughter, Sherri Frazier and husband Mike, of Joplin; three great-granddaughters, Megan Frazier McDaniel and husband Houston, M'Riah Frazier and Macie Frazier; two great-great-grandchildren, Paislie and Pierce; two brothers, Ray Harmon and wife Georgia, of Joplin, Darrell Harmon and wife Karen, of Baxter Springs, Kan.; one sister, Annalee Hildreth and husband Jay, of Carl Junction; cousin and lifelong friend, Mary Moore, of Joplin. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Parker Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating, after which the family will receive friends.
