JOPLIN, Mo. —
Daniel Kasen Rendon, age 4 weeks, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at his home in Joplin, Mo. Kasen was born on July 27, 2011, at Freeman Hospital, the son of Daniel S. Rendon and Megan Eldridge.
Though Kasen was only with us a short time, he had already won the hearts of family and friends with his cute little smile and sweet disposition.
He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Karlycia Mahurin and Serenity Rendon; his maternal grandparents, Michael and Judith Hoover, of Neosho, Mo. and Bill and Kathy Eldridge, of Joplin; his paternal grandparents, Daniel A. Rendon of Jane, Mo. and Bethany Graves, of Sarcoxie, Mo.; his maternal great-grandparents, Betty Dodson of Neosho, and Ernest “Doc” and Ila Jean Hoover, of Neosho; his paternal great-grandparents, Melvin and Elizabeth Cantrell, of Carthage, Mo.; his maternal great-great-grandmother, Marthel Leggett, of Joplin; two uncles, Jeff Eldridge , of Springfield, Mo. and Brendan Rendon, of Joplin; one aunt, Mychelle Gahagan, of Sarcoxie; his great aunts and uncles, Mike and Amy Mann, of Joplin, Randy and Lori Dodson, of Granby, Mo., Les and Sherry Hoover, of Neosho and Reed and Sonja Harper, of Joplin; and several cousins. Kasen was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, James L. Dodson; and his cousin, Jessica Mann.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Rev. Roger Hasselquist will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Eldridge and Brendan Rendon. The family will receive friends at a visitation Monday evening, Aug. 29, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
