CARTHAGE, MO —

James Warren McCormick Jr., 45, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, outside of Carthage, Mo.

James was born Aug. 7, 1967, in Carthage, to Willetta Mitchell McCormick and James Warren McCormick Sr. James was a lifelong Carthage resident graduating from Carthage High School class of 1986. He went on to M.S.S.U. for three years. He worked for the Underground, Leggett and Platt Branch One, Cycle Index and a security guard for Murray Guard. James was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church, of Carthage.

James is survived by his mother, Willetta McCormick; an uncle, Billy Ray Mitchell and wife, Sue, of Texas; a first cousin, Cornelius Scott, of Carthage; and a second cousin, Samuel Scott, of Carthage. James was preceded in death by his father, James Warren McCormick Sr.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Carthage. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
