GALENA, KS —
Randy Youngblood, age 40, passed away at 2:47 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Mo., from injuries received in an ATV accident in Galena.
Randy was born June 21, 1972. His parents were Jay and Patty (Peavler) Youngblood. He had lived in Galena all of his life.
He was the Assistant City Superintendent for the City of Galena, where he had been employed for over 20 years. He also continued operating Jay's Garage since the death of his father earlier this year. His favorite pastimes were classic cars and shooting pool.
He is survived by one brothers, Jason (wife, Jerri) Youngblood, Galena; his stepmother, Linda Youngblood, Galena; stepbrother, Floyd Burrows Jr., State of Florida; stepsister, Tammy Kay Johnson, Galena; and two nephews, Dalton Youngblood and Beau Youngblood, both of Galena.
The body was taken for cremation under the care of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.
The family will be conducting a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Camp Joy Ministries, Joplin. Pastor Jeff D Martin will officiate.
