JOPLIN, Mo. —
Dennis Robinson, age 80, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at 4 a.m. in Mercy Hospital Joplin.
Dennis was born Jan. 25, 1933 in Calhoun, Colo., son of the late Clarence Robinson and Opal Troyer Robinson. He grew up and attended school in Lacey, Okla., and has lived in Joplin for the past 35 years. He was owner and operator of D.G. Robinson Excavating Company for the past 58 years, working as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Robinson.
Survivors include his sons, Rex Robinson, of Mound City, Kan., Don Robinson, of Joplin, and Dale Robinson, of Texas; sister, Delynn Munkrees, of Enid, Okla., and Colleen Renshaw, of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Saturday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at Mount Hope Church of Christ, 2830 Mount Hope Road, with Gary Morrison, Minister, officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
