FARMINGTON, MO —
Janet Marie Wells, of Farmington, Mo., passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at the age of 48 years.
She was born June 23, 1963, at Carthage, Mo., daughter of Marjorie F. (Ziler) and Jerry R. Burkey.
Janet was a faithful and active member of New Heights Church of Farmington. She was employed as a paraprofessional for the Farmington R-7 School District and was preparing to start a new position with Criminal Justice Services.
Janet will be greatly missed by all who loved her and that includes her husband, Alan Wells; her parents, Jerry and Margie Burkey, of Carthage; two daughters, Elizabeth and Peyton Galt, both of Farmington; a brother, Mark Burkey (Rhonda) and two nieces, Alyssa and Audrey Burkey, all of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a stepson, Adam Wells (Beth), of Farmington; and stepdaughter, Amy Cisneros, of Farmington; four step grandchildren, Riley Cisneros, Sydney Cisneros, Addison Wells and Alyssa Wells; and mother-in-law, Doris Wells, of Farmington.
Janet’s family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3. Visitation will resume on Friday at the New Heights Church at 9 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rocky Good officiating. Interment will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
