WEBB CITY, Mo. —
Joseph Harve Lasiter, 67, Webb City, Mo., formerly of Carthage, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the Webb City Health and Rehab Center, Webb City.
Joseph H. Lasiter was born Dec. 17, 1945, in Carthage, the son of the late Henry William Lasiter and Leola M. Shrock Lasiter. He attended public schools in Carthage, worked on the assembly line for Steadley Mfg., Carthage, and was a 20-year employee for Innovative Industries, Inc., Carthage. He was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church, Carthage.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Smith, Galena, Kan.; a son, Joey Eugene Lasiter, Webb City; four sisters, Nita (Bill) Dalton, Carterville, Rita Mitchell, Carthage, Henrietta (Elvie) Stark, Carthage, and Milly (Robert) Palmer, Sarcoxie; four brothers, Martin Lasiter, Carthage, Loren Lasiter, Carthage, John Lasiter, Webb City, and Richard Lasiter, Webb City; and several grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and six sisters, Lucille Magdaleno, Mary McNamara, Betty Lou Swafford, Joan Lasiter, Gloriann Stark and Delila Carpenter.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Minister Bill McNamara will officiate. Interment will be in Friends Cemetery, Purcell, Mo.
