SENECA, Mo. —
Donald Lloyd Cox, age 66, of Seneca, Mo., entered into rest at Freeman Hospital, Joplin Mo., on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.
Don was born June 6, 1946, in Seneca, to Lennie Loyd and Juanita (Golden) Cox.
Don was a lifelong resident of Seneca, Mo. He graduated from Seneca High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and National Guard. He was a member of the Swars Prairie Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, going to auctions and spending time with his grandchildren.
Don married Karen Crider on Feb. 15, 1975. She survives at the home. They were happily married for 38 years.
Additional survivors include his son, Donald Cox and wife, Ashley, of Webb City, Mo.; daughters, Jennifer Jones and husband, Dan, of Joplin, Mo. and Natalie Younger, of Seneca, Mo.; his grandchildren were his pride and joy, Mason, Brenna and Erin Jones, of Joplin, Madalyn and Emma Cox, of Webb City, Corbin and Talon Younger, of Seneca; three sisters, Kathy Ackerson, Linda Newton and her husband, Bud, Betty Dale and her husband, Jim; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Crocker and Russell McCloud; brother-in-law, Randy Crider and wife, Vickie, along with a large loving family. Don also cherished the company of his many friends and fishing partners. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Lennie Loyd and Juanita Cox; and his father-in-law, Dennis Crocker.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Seneca Church of Christ on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. Flowers can be sent to the home at 103 Bear Lane, Seneca Mo.
