WEBB CITY, MO —
Uncle Harold I. Cox, age 73, of Webb City, Mo., passed away at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, following an illness.
Uncle Harold was born Aug. 14, 1939, in Joplin, and was a lifetime Joplin resident. Uncle Harold was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Church of God 7th Day in Joplin.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hutching; three sons, Sonny Miller, Galena, Kan., Michael Ellis and Theron Hutching, both of Webb City; three brothers, Truman Cox, Joplin, Ernie Cox, Webb City, and Houston Carver, Robstown, Texas; one sister, Earlene Richardson, Hulbert, Okla.; one grandson, Joshua Hutching; one great-grandson, Brantley Hutching and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Uncle Harold has been cremated. Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m Thursday at the Church of God 7th Day at 401 Elk Street, Joplin, with Denny Carver and Pastor Dave Gartner officiating. A meal will be served immediately following the service for those in attendance.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory, of Joplin.
