ORONOGO, MO —
Jack W. Tucker, age 88, of Oronogo, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 2:55 a.m. at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Oronogo, to Hale C. and Floy (Rudy) Tucker. Jack enjoyed farming and bowling and was a proud supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He owned and operated the Jack Tucker TV Service and Sales in Oronogo. He was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (Ward) Tucker, who he married Dec. 25, 1946, on March 21, 2007; a daughter, Sydney Janette Tucker on Jan. 21, 2011; and his sister, Marge Williams.
He is survived by his daughter, Jacque Boyer and husband, John, of Jasper; son, Michael Tucker and wife, Karen, of Oronogo; six grandchildren, Lorri Monroe and husband, Jeff, Traci Coleman and husband, Mark, Jackson Boyer and wife, Amanda, Leslie Cole and husband, Greg, Cathy McKee and husband, Scott and Sarah Baugh and husband, John; as well as 24 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the Nashville Cemetery with Rev. Jarel Burnside officiating. His grandsons, Jackson Boyer, Mark Coleman, Jeff Monroe, Greg Cole, Scott McKee and John Baugh, will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Special Olympics in care of the funeral home.
