JOPLIN, MO —
Marylee Foix, age 65, of Joplin, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at National Healthcare Center, after being in ill health since 2000.
Born July 24, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Minn., she had lived in Joplin much of her lifetime. Marylee was a certified nurse's assistant for both St. John's Home Health and Oxford Home Health. She also attended Hook Up Truck School and became an over-the-road driver for Covenant Transport in Chattanooga, Tenn., and ATS in St. Cloud, Minn. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. A true dog and pet lover, she volunteered for Joplin Humane Society as a fostering many pets following the Joplin Tornado. She also volunteered for her church's relief efforts.
Survivors include her former husband, Donald G. Bock, of Seneca, Mo.; a son, Donald E. Bock, of Seneca; her mother, Betty Foix Trembath, of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Dianna Benes, of Hill City, Minn., and Brenda Stockwell, of Grand Rapids; her brother, Douglas Foix, of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren, Casey, Brooke and Christopher McBride, Blake and Brittany Bock; and six great-grandchildren, Adylan, Payton, Landon, Brayden, Rielynn and Briley. Marylee was preceded in death by her father, Rodney L. Foix; her twin daughters, Teresa McBride and Terri Lee Bock; and a brother, Roddy Foix.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Forest Park Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Worley officiating. Interment will follow in Diamond Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary.
