WEBB CITY, Mo. —
Virginia A. Prigg, age 72, of Webb City, Mo., passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Feb. 1, 1941, to Earl Jordan and Viola Chrisman Jordan in Spurgeon, Mo. Virginia was a cook at the Webb City High School for many years and also a homemaker. She was a member of the Oronogo Baptist Church. Virginia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Virginia love spending time with all of her family and friends and as everyone who knew her knows that her house was always kept spotless.
Virginia married Carl J. Prigg on March 16, 1956, in Oronogo. He survives at the home.
She is also survived by her daughters, Linda Mayes and husband, George, of Webb City, and Kim Spencer and husband, Rick, of Springfield; sons, Tracy Prigg, of Oronogo, and Rick Prigg, of Joplin; brothers, Robert Jordan and wife, Brenda, of Carthage, and Leroy Jordan and wife, Kay, of Oronogo; sisters, Wanda William,s of Carthage, Hazel Banks, of Webb City, Helen Willis, of Webb City, and Lois Foster, of Joplin; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City, with Kent Williams officiating. The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to Omega Healthcare, 3126 Wisconsin Avenue, Joplin, MO 64804 in her memory.
