SAGINAW, MO —
Leah Frances Darrow, age 83, of the Saginaw community, south of Joplin, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Spring River Christian Village.
Leah was born June 21, 1929, in Miami, Okla., and had lived in the Saginaw community for the last 30 years. Leah was employed as a case worker for Jasper County Division of Family Services for 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church and volunteered in the church office.
Leah married Ned Darrow Jan. 4, 1980, in Miami. He survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Steve Burns, Joplin, and Larry Burns and wife, Sheila, Diamond, Mo.; two daughters, Nancy Richards and husband, Jeff, Littleton, Colo., and Vicki Snively and husband, Ted, Independence, Mo.; three stepsons, Dale Darrow and wife, Kathy, Chenango, Forks, N.Y., Brian Darrow, Green, N.Y., and Allen Darrow, Port Crane, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy Burns; and a brother, Elvin Fort.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Forest Park Baptist Church with Rev. John Swadley officiating. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Friday prior to service at the Church. Entombment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Mausoleum.
