CARTHAGE, MO —
Jenean Erskin passed away at home on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the age of 76, after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 3, 1936, to the late Henry Williams and Mae Edna Carroll Williams.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Virgel Erskin; two sisters, Inez Rowe, of Joplin, and Theckla Willliams; and one brother, Elwood Williams, of Monett.
Jenean was employed several years at the Carthage Press until bad health caused her retirement. She loved gospel music and was a member of and traveled with the Gospel Outreach Singers.
She is survived by four daughters, Carla Williamson, Glenda and husband, Russell Aleshire, Pamela and husband, John Nixon and Twyla Henson; one sister, Dolores Campbell; and one very special niece, Carolyn Smith.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Mo., with service on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Ulmers. Burial will follow in Park Cemetery in Carthage.
