JOPLIN, MO —

Robert "Bob" Allen Gosney, age 70, Joplin, passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at his home.

Bob was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late John Randolph Gosney and Mariann Bowie Gosney. He worked for Lozier Manufacturing for over 40 years before retiring in 2004. He enjoyed life, especially fishing from his pontoon boat on Grand Lake.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Linda May Gosney who died April 22, 2009; and a brother, John Randolph Gosney II.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Steele and husband, Richard, of Webb City, and Mary Ann Gosney, of Joplin; grandchildren, Kelsi McGinnis, Kourtnee Hopkins, James Hopkins, Leslie Steele, Kevin Steele and John Allen Gosney; and great-grandchildren, Serenity Whitney and Brooklynn Glass.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
