BAXTER SPRINGS, KS —
F. Mack Weston, 74, of Baxter Springs, passed from this life on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Medicalodge, of Columbus.
Mack was born Dec. 2, 1937, at Baxter Springs, to the union of Fred and Ada (Pliler) Weston. Mack graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1955.
He was united in marriage March 11, 1956, at Miami, Okla., to Marlys (Rogers) Weston.
Mack started work for Harley Buick in Baxter Springs, before opening Mack Weston Automotive that he and Marlys owned for 33 years. Mack enjoyed aviation and flew frequently. You could always find him working on various projects but the one common item in all of them was a motor. Mack and his family spent time in California and other locations drag racing. He loved spending time with the family and especially the grand kids. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He was baptized in the Cardin Baptist Church.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Tony Weston in 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Marlys Weston, of the home; one son, Tim Weston and fiancé, Toni, of Webb City, Mo.; one daughter, Tracy Taconis, of Baxter Springs; one brother, David Weston and wife, Carla, of Baxter Springs; one sister, Janalee Windel and husband, Martin, of Oolagah, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
