GROVE, OK —
Louise Katherine Thompson Williams, 86, of Grove, Okla., passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2012.
She was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Afton, Okla., to the late Claude General and Emma Ada Thompson.
On March 20, 1944, she married Charles Cicero Williams, who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1977.
She was a long-time Grove resident, having served as a rural mail carrier with the postal service for over 20 years. She had fond memories of her childhood in Old Bernice, where her grandmother, Dora Sherwood, led the nondenominational church. In Grove, she was a member of the Independent Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Ray Thompson; half-sisters, Cordelia Fitzgerald Hunter, Christella Sherwood and Christena Sherwood; and son-in-law, David Pattison.
Louise was a loving and serving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a cherished companion for her husband. She is survived by her four children, Ada Pattison, of Joplin, Mo., Charles Williams and wife, Janey, of Van Buren, Ark., Johnny Williams and wife, Melody, of Tiff City, Mo., and Jimmy Claude Williams of Grove; nine grandchildren, Susan Stuckey, Todd Williams, Brent Williams, Aaron Williams, Kevin Williams, Kym Hopper, Lindsay Williams, Satch Williams and Cy Williams; and 20 great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Cody, Bradley, Lacy, Rebekah, Darien, Emberlynn, Joshua, Kyle, Aleeze, Leah, Isaac, Dylan, Lydia, Justus, Elius, Quincy, Cruxley, Darkniz and Kylin. She is also survived by nieces, Jessie Conley and Erma Reed, of Sapulpa, Okla.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at Independent Baptist Church, Grove. Interment will be in McLaughlin Cemetery in Cleora, Okla.
Services are entrusted to Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home, of Grove.
