CARTHAGE, Mo. —
Gale H. Moss, 89, passed away Dec. 9, 2012.
Gale was born in Sarcoxie, Mo., to Edith Bryan Moss and Fird H. Moss. Gale was born and raised in Sarcoxie, Mo., he moved to the Michigan area and worked for U.S. Rubber (Uniroyal Tire), he then returned to Southwest Missouri to farm and serve as the Road Commissioner of Newton County. Then to Carthage in 1973, as owner of CA-MO Pools Carthage, Mo. He retired in 1986, to travel.
Gale was united in marriage to Helen L. DelzellMoss Aug. 12, 1942, in Miami, Okla., she preceeded him June 28, 2006.
Born to this union was one daughter, Dorothy (Dottie) Graber and husband, Jerry, of Carthage; and one son, Kenneth H. Moss and wife, Theresa, of Mabank, Texas; eight grandchildren, Sheri Farmer (Robin), Tammy Christopherson (David), Brad Crosby (Mary), Kevin Harris (Missy), Britt Graber(Ronada), Gene Harris, Jason Parish, and Brandie Parish; 16 great-grandchildren, Dalton Farmer, Jackson Farmer, Preston Farmer, David and Grayson Christopherson, Madison and Jaiden Crosby, Ashley and Cade Harris, Dylan and Sierra Graber, Jordan Harris, Micah, Devan and Lauren Parish, Jeffery Stockton; two great-great-granddaughters, Harlie Farmer and Jaedyn Adams. Gale is survived by one sister, Crystal Burkey, of Sarcoxie, Mo.; and one brother, Asa F. Moss, of Monett, Mo.; A special nephew and sidekick, Melvin Moss, of Monett.
Gale was preceeded by two sisters, Cleta Standerfer and Doris Uber; four brothers, Carl Moss, Gene Moss, Thomas Oren Moss and Maxe Moss.
Gale was married to Berniece Green Moss May 24, 2008, she survives, she has three daughters, Carol Nimsick (Bill), of Rogersville, Mo., Glenda Roland, of Branson, Mo. and Cynthia Soard, of Carthage, Mo.; daughter-in law, Lou Green, of Olathe, Kan.; five grandchildren, Christine Benne, Michele Dupont, Victoria Davis, Joseph Nimsick and Jaden Pearl Green.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. With additional services 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Neosho, Mo. Visitation 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Memorial Cemetery, Neosho.
