NEOSHO, MO — Cynthia "Kay" Crenshaw, 55, entered into rest on Dec. 10, 2012, at Freeman West ICU Joplin, Mo., following a short illness.

She was born June 1, 1957, in Greenville, Miss., to Lorenzo and Tylitha (Manning) Brown. Kay was a lifelong resident of Granby, Mo., and worked in the health care industry as a medical technician until her death. She was also a veteran of the Air Force.

Kay's life partner, Ruth Weese survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Lori Newman, of Joplin; a sister, Denise Brown, of Miami, Okla.; and three grandchildren, Christian Newman, Dalton Newman and Aiden Newman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Tylitha (Manning) Brown; and two brothers, Cecil and Dennis Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Clark Funeral Home, Granby Chapel, Granby; Steve Urie officiating. Kay will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15; visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation in care of Clark Funeral Home P.O. Box 66 Neosho, MO 64850.
