CARL JUNCTION, MO —
Jerelyn "Jerrie" Jackson, age 81, of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away at 10:34 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark.
Jerrie was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Cordell, Okla. She had lived in Carl Junction the last 12 years, until moving to Rogers, Ark. in November, to be close to her son. She was a self-employed tax preparer. Jerrie was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Webb City, and formerly was a member of the North Main Street Baptist Church. Jerrie was also a member of the Audubon Society.
Jerrie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd B. Jackson; a son, Dennis Lee; two grandsons, Jonathan Tidwell and Shannon Jackson; and a brother, George Gray Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Rick Tidwell and wife, Patti, Rogers, Ark., Michael E. Tidwell, Colorado, and Roy Jackson and wife, Terri, Odessa, Texas; one daughter, Susie Wheeler, Borger, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the North Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Beverlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Crocker Cemetery, near Opolis, Kan.
Memorial contributions are requested to "Operation Christmas Child" in care of the funeral home.
