WEBB CITY, MO —    

William O. Allen, age 85, of Webb City, Mo., passed away on Jan. 7, 2013, at Webb City Health & Rehab.

He was born on May 7, 1927, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Oscar Allen and Clara Carr Allen. William was a member of the Jesus Name Gospel Church in Webb City, and a United States Navy Veteran having served in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sarah Mansfield; and a niece, Vicky Mansfield Chaves.

William is survived by his sister, Emma Ryan, of Webb City; along with 13 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Jesus Name Gospel Church with Phillip Ryan and Joanna Sparlin officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Interment will be in Carterville Cemetery with full military honors.

Arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
