HORNET, MO —
Emma Lorene Hembree, age 70, went home to Jesus on Jan. 8, 2013, at her home after a battle with cancer.
Emma was born June 3, 1942, in Joplin, Mo., to Charlie and Esther Burdge.
She married Ronald Hembree on Oct. 7, 1960, at Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death May 16, 2004.
She worked at Tyson Foods and at Oxford Home Health Care and was a member of the Hornet Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie; brothers, Henry and Everett; and sisters, Loretta and Lou Ann.
Emma is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Hembree Bohl, of Neosho; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Norma McCoy and Geneva Smith, of Hornet.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hornet Pentecostal Holiness Church. Tracy Holden will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
