CARL JUNCTION, Mo. —
Alma May McFerron, age 103, Carl Junction, Mo. passed away Sunday Jan. 20, 2013, following a lengthy illness.
Alma was born Dec. 5, 1909, to William J. and Mary Hutcheson Morris in Bentonville, Ark.
She was a charter member of the Lawton Kansas Christian Church. Alma was a beautician.
Alma married Albert McFerron on May 26, 1934, in Joplin, Mo. and he preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1969. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by three daughters, Marylyn King, Joplin, Mo., Jeannine Simpson, Carl Junction, Mo. And Cheryl McFerron, Carl Junction; six grandchildren, Vicki Earhart, Cindy Madsen, Jeff King, Karla Rush, Kevin Simpson, Karen Banks; 11 great-grandchildren, Shon Earhart, Chris Earhart, Andrea Sommer, Melinda Haddock Marylee King, Makayla King, Malynne King, Levi Rush, Leanna Canfield, Chap Banks, Zachary Banks; eight great-great-grandchildren, Sheldon Earhart, Lakin Earhart, Ava Earhart, Aidan Sommer, Lacy Haddock, Tanner Haddock, Koen Rush, and Emma Rush.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday Jan. 24, at the Carl Junction Christian Church with Boyce Mouton minister officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the Carl Junction Cemetery.
