JOPLIN, Mo. — Clyde C. "Butch" Maryman, Jr., age 64, Joplin, passed away at 2:54 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at his residence after an illness of several months.

Butch was born Oct. 13, 1948, in Joplin, Mo., to the late Clyde C. Maryman, Sr. and Anna L. McFarland Maryman and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.

Butch was a member of the Joplin High School Class of 66.  He worked at the former R & S Chevrolet for several years and worked at Joplin Freightliner Sales for 30 years in parts sales. He was a former member of the Joplin Elks Lodge #501.  Butch loved NASCAR, the Missouri Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and had served his country in the Vietnam War.

Butch married Lisa G. Thomas on July 2, 2005, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives at the home.

Additional survivors include a sister, Sandra Peavler-Houpt and her husband, Bill, Joplin; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by three sisters, Eloise and Suzanne Maryman and Patricia A. Howard.

Services are planned for Monday at 1 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted. Pallbearers will be Bradley Howard, Dustey Howard, Tim Pounds, Jeff Peavler, Darrell Keys and Derrick Watson.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Parker Mortuary.
