Mary Dean Castagno, age 86, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012.
She was born May 21, 1926, to the late Louis and Alma (Stark) Heger in Jasper, Mo. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock and retired from St. Vincents as a registered nurse. She loved being outdoors and tending to her garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Castagno; and her brother, Bill Heger.
Survivors include her four sons, Steve Castagno, of Little Rock, Terry Castagno and wife, Gretchen, of Lewisville, Texas, Dan Castagno and wife, Peg, of Pickerington, Ohio, and David Castagno and wife, Carmen, of Plano, Texas; her six grandchildren, Gabrielle, Alyssa, Meghan, Chris, Caitlyn, and Renee Castagno, and other relatives and friends.
Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, (501)224-8300, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, followed by a visitation.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock, with Monsignor Francis Malone as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock with her sons serving as pallbearers.
