WOODBURY, TN —

James Dalton Reed, 18, of Woodbury, Tenn., formerly of Joplin, Mo., went home to be with his Lord on Dec. 5, 2012.

He was born in Joplin, on July 19, 1994.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Melvin Lawrence "Corky" Reed Sr.

 He is survived by his father and stepmother, Michael and Stormi (Smith) Reed, of Woodbury; his mother, Michelle Reed, of Grove, Okla.; paternal grandmother, Weda Jane Donham, of Galena, Kan.; maternal grandparents, Michael and Sandy Wright, of Grove; brothers, Sean Reed, of Kansas City, Kan., and Dusty Reed, of Grove; stepbrother, Corey Daniel, of Gallatin; and sister, Kaitlyn Reed, of Woodbury.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 50 Locke Creek Rd. Readyville, Tenn. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at the church. Rick McFerrin will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made through Smith Funeral Home to assist with expenses. Smith Funeral Home, Woodbury, TN (615)563-5337.
