JOPLIN —
Donna Sue Dale-McCarty, age 54, Joplin, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Donna was born Sept. 6, 1955, in Butler, Mo., daughter of the late Dennis Dale and Alice Cameron Dale. She graduated from Rich Hill High School in 1973. She lived in Washington, Mo., for 20 years where she was a full time mother and CMA at the local residential center. She relocated to Carthage, Mo., where she worked as a sales associate with Wal-Mart before becoming disabled in 1999. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was involved with anything that had to do with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents that helped raise her, Homer and Menta Dale; a brother, Darrell Dale; sister, Joyce Elaine Dale; an aunt, Lois Kastendieck; and her father-in-law, Mick McCarty.
Survivors include her husband, Mickey McCarty; a daughter, Melanie Dobbins and husband, Jonathan; son, Michael McCarty and wife, Brandy; grandchildren, Jaden Dobbins, Davin McCarty and Hadley McCarty; mother-in-law, Syble McCarty, all of Joplin; sisters-in-law, Janet Dale, of Rich Hill, Mo., Diane Young, of St. Louis, Mo., Jeannie Neel, Jackie McCarty, both of Joplin, Leona Hong and husband, Dal, of High Ridge, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 16, at 2 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Donald Hong, Logan Dale, Kenny Young, Mike Shaw, Blake McCarty, Jeremy Jackson, Travis Sprenkle and Jesse Gourley serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m.
