WASHINGTON (AP) — On the day before leaving office, President George W. Bush talked by phone to a number of world leaders he has worked with during the past eight years.
The White House says Bush chatted Monday with the leaders of Georgia, Russia, South Korea, Denmark and Italy.
National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe says that during the farewell calls, Bush thanked the leaders for the hospitality they had shown him and first lady Laura Bush over the years.
