PITTSBURG, Kan. —
Two hitters and two middle blockers have signed letters-of-intent to play volleyball at Pittsburg State, coach Ibraheem Suberu has announced.
Olivia Roland, 6-foot middle blocker, has played on Nebraska high school state championship teams the last two seasons at Papillon Lavista South in Bellevue, Neb. Papillion Lavista South has gone 82-0 the last two seasons and is the top-ranked high school team in the country. She also has played on club teams that have finished as high as 18th in the national tournament. She had a .333 hitting percentage her senior year in high school.
Aimi Orton, 5-8 setter-outside hitter, has been a three-time all-conference player at Towanda Circle High School.
Jordan Rehm, 5-9 outside hitter from Derby, has played the last two years at Hutchinson Community College where she had 210 kills, 208 digs and 62 blocks last season to earn honorable mention all-conference honors.
Paula Okrutna, 6-0 middle blocker and rightside hitter from Pila, Poland, played one season at Fort Scott Community College. She set school records with 573 kills for the season and 4.98 kills per set, which also ranked first nationally. She was named an NJCAA Division II honorable mention All-American.
