BLOG: Spotlight shines on MSSU's Brandon Williams

Missouri Southern defensive tackle Brandon Williams continues to create a buzz as experts discuss April's NFL draft.

Williams helped his stock at the NFL Combine by tying for the most repetitions on the bench press with 38. He also displayed good athleticism and quickness for a 300-plus pounder.

Analysts like his low center of gravity and quick reflexes off the ball.

However, Williams could be hurt some by the fact that this is considered to be an extremely deep class for defensive tackles.

Various mock drafts have him going in the fourth round to the Philadelphia Eagles, in the second round to the San Francisco 49ers and in the third round to the Houston Texans.

Mel Kiper, the longtime NFL draft guru for ESPN, says he expect Williams to be a second-round pick. Listen to Kiper's comments about Williams from an ESPN Radio broadcast here: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=9031276

Fast forward to the 6:30 mark.
