If you’re into collecting sports autographs, there will be plenty of free opportunities over the next few days.

The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan will be in Joplin on Saturday, while Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David will be in Pittsburg on Saturday, and the Kansas City Royals Caravan will make stops in Joplin and Fort Scott on Monday.

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Shelby Miller and minor leaguers Oscar Taveras and Seth Maness will be joined by Cardinals alumni John Mabry, Cal Eldred and Alan Benes for a meet and greet with fans at noon Saturday at Missouri Southern University’s Taylor Performing Arts Center. The first 400 children age 15-and younger will receive a free autograph ticket, which guarantees one signature from each current and former player. Autographs will be available only for kids 15-and-younger.

David, who finished his rookie season in the NFL after playing at Fort Scott Community College and Nebraska, will be at Mac Fitness, 306 W. 11th in Pittsburg, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday. The event, which is geared toward promoting active lifestyles for kids, will be free. David is expected to sign autographs for about an hour.

Kansas City Royals pitchers Bruce Chen, Danny Duffy and Will Smith will be joined by Royals Hall of Fame pitcher Dennis Leonard for their Caravan stop from 3-4 p.m. Monday at the Northpark Mall’s Vintage Stock store in Joplin. From 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, the same players are scheduled to be at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Fort Scott. Each fan is limited to one autograph per player, and autographs may be limited to the first 150 people in line.
