Student found innocent of charges

— COLUMBUS, Kan. — Judge Robert Fleming today in Cherokee County District Court found Coy New innocent of the remaining misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge against him.
He was the last of the five Riverton High School students initially charged in an alleged school-shooting plot still facing charges.
Fleming earlier found New innocent of a misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to riot.
The other students pleaded guilty or no contest to misdemeanors and were sentenced to probation and community service.
