Thomas Jefferon girls roll by Wheaton
WHEATON, Mo. — The Thomas Jefferson girls got 16 points from Carly Luebber and 12 from Summer Davidson and rolled to a 49-30 win over Wheaton on Monday night.
The Cavaliers led 8-4 at the end of the first quarter and then outscored Wheaton 25-11 over the next two periods to take control.
The Bulldogs were led by Mica Tichenor’s eight points ehile Meagan Brattin added six.
NEO sweeps pair from Eastern State
MIAMI, Okla. — Northeastern Oklahoma A&M swept a pair of games from visiting Eastern State on Monday night.
The men (22-5 overall and 5-1 in the Bi-State East) won 82-61, while the women (20-6, 4-2) triumphed 75-63.
Reggie Mathis led the men, who held a 40-19 halftime bulge, with 13 points. Robert Givens topped the visitors with 11.
Misty Haley topped the NEO women with 19 points, while Shaqualla Alexander led Eastern with 25.
The Eastern men fell to 5-21, 1-1, while their counterparts slipped to 11-15, 0-6.
