‘Brawl at Hall' features 12 fights

Twelve fights are scheduled tonight in the “Brawl at the Hall,” an Xtreme Cage Fighting program at Memorial Hall in Joplin.
The event, sponsored by the Joplin Sports Authority, begins at 7:30 p.m.
“It’s the first pro MMA (mixed martial arts) event to come to the area,” said Doug Bland, co-promoter. “There are fighters from four states. This is a minor league of the ultimate fighing programs offered on pay-per-view.”
Weigh-ins were held Thursday night at Bordertown Casino in Seneca. The fights are sanctioned by the Missouri Boxing Commission and the International Sport Combat Federation.
Each fight consists of three three-minute rounds.
Tickets, starting at $20, are available online at xtremecagefighting.net. Tickets will also be available at the Memorial Hall ticket office when gates open at 5:30.
One of the headline fights matches Zak Cummings of Springfield against Jason “The Scorpion” Broom of Tulsa for the XCF light heavyweight title.

145—Craig Gilmore vs. William Morgan.
155—Weston Frisby vs. Brett Powell; Parker Whitman vs. Nate McGrew.
170—Matt Miller vs. Tyson Ward; David Myers vs. Tyson Rainey; Donny Pennington vs. Ivan Hernandez.
185—Sean Hill vs. Calyen Stidham.
205—Thien Nguyen vs. Jesse Frye; Noah Webber vs. Victor McCullough.
