sports@joplinglobe.com A baseball district championship game and softball regional tournament final were postponed Thursday and rescheduled for today. Top-seeded Webb City (20-5) and second-seeded Carl Junction (19-5) collide meet in the Class 3 District 12 baseball final at 6 p.m. today at Carl Lewton Stadium in Carthage. The Cardinals and Bulldogs were scheduled to play at 1 p.m. Thursday, but morning rain made the field unplayable to start at that time. A later start on Thursday was not possible because of graduation activities at Webb City. The Riverton and Frontenac softball teams remained scoreless for another day. The Class 3A regional final between the top-seeded Rams (14-4) and second-seeded Raiders (15-7) was 0-0 after two innings Tuesday night when storms hit the Frontenac area. The game was scheduled to resume at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, but wet grounds pushed the completion back to 4:30 p.m. today at the Frontenac Sports Complex.
