Season ticket packages for Missouri Southern football and basketball games go on sale today at the school’s ticket office.
Three ticket packages are available. Season tickets are $60 for the Lions’ seven-game home football schedule and $125 for basketball season tickets, which include 15 home dates for the Lion men and 13 dates for the women’s team.
Also, a senior citizen package of $35 purchases tickets to all home football games and a pass to all home basketball games.
The MSSU ticket office hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets also can be purchased over the phone by calling (417) 625-9366.
Lions to scrimmage Saturday
Missouri Southern’s football team will hold a scrimmage Saturday afternoon at Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
The scrimmage will begin at approximately 4 p.m. and will last about an hour, Lions head coach Bart Tatum said.
Saturday marks the Lions’ final day of multiple practices as classes begin on Monday. The Lions open their season Aug. 30 at home against Harding (Ark.).
Busy Saturday for Gorillas
A youth clinic, autograph session and scrimmage are part of Saturday’s schedule for the Pittsburg State football team.
The annual YMCA youth football clinic begins at 10 a.m. at Carnie Smith Stadium.
On Saturday afternoon the PSU autograph day will be held at the Pittsburg Wal-Mart Supercenter from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The Gorillas will be on hand to sign free copies of the football schedule poster.
The Gorillas conclude their day with an intrasquad scrimmage at 8 p.m. Tailgating and GorillaFest activities will begin at 6. Fans are encouraged to tailgate east of the stadium.
The Gorillas kick off their season Aug. 30 on the road against Central Oklahoma.
