WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Central Missouri kept its women’s MIAA soccer record unblemished with 1-0 victory against Missouri Southern on Saturday.
Melanie Hall hit what proved to be the winning goal just before the 10th minute into the game. The Mules outshot the Lions 20-5.
Freshman goalkeeper Randi Russell had eight saves for Southern, which slipped to 4-9 and 2-8 in the MIAA. Central Missouri, ranked 10th in the nation, went to 12-1-1 and 10-0.
The Lions will be host to Missouri Western at 7 p.m. Thursday.
OCC falls 2-0
Central Baptist College spoiled the women’s soccer season finale at the Ozark Christian field on Saturday.
The Conway, Ark., team won 2-0 on two second-half goals.
Goalkeeper Tanya Wood had five saves for OCC, which ended its season at 2-12-1. Central Baptist had nine shots on goal, while the Ambassadors had two.
