Jeffrey Gluckstein is one of the top two trampolinists in the country. The only thing standing between the 19-year-old and a spot on the U.S. Olympic team is the guy who lives under the same roof, his older brother Steven.
The elder Gluckstein, who turns 22 this weekend, is the top-ranked trampolinist in the U.S. heading into next week’s national championships. The two brothers from New Jersey have dominated the growing sport over the last five years, with Steven winning three national titles, while Jeffrey won it a year ago.
There’s only one Olympic berth available, though the brothers insist the competition hasn’t taken a toll on their relationship. Their mother Loretta says her sons do their best to avoid talking about the competition when they’re home.
