McClure gets medical OK to race at Road America

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. — Driver Eric McClure has received medical clearance to resume racing when the NASCAR Nationwide Series visits Road America this weekend.

McClure has missed the last six races after he sustained a concussion and internal bruising in an accident at Talladega Superspeedway on May 5. Jeff Green drove the No. 14 Toyota in McClure’s absence.

McClure says he’s “very excited and thankful” to be back behind the wheel.

Nationwide races at Road America, a four-mile road course in Wisconsin, start Saturday afternoon.
