JOPLIN, Mo. —
SouthernFest ‘10, the primary fundraiser fro Missouri Southern athletics, is scheduled for Thursday night and Friday.
A dinner auction will be held Thursday at Downstream Casino resort, starting with a social mixer at 5:30.
A buffet dinner and silent auctions will begin at 6:15. A live auction will start at 8, and items up for bid include MSSU athletic experiences, hunting trips, Las Vegas resort stays and Super Bowl tickets.
No walk-up tickets will be sold at the event; however, a limited number of tickets can still be purchased by calling Aaron Lewis, 417-625-9820. Tickets are $40.
The annual Rod Smith Golf Classic will be played Friday at Eagle Creek Golf Course with shotgun starts scheduled for 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Team spots for the four-person scramble tournament are still available and can be reserved by contacting Kevin Greim, 417-625-3075. Cost is $500 per team.
