Crowder climbs to No. 1 in NJCAA baseball poll

Crowder College’s anticipated good news arrived on Wednesday.

The Roughriders are No. 1 in this week’s NJCAA Division I basball poll.

Crowder (30-5), which was ranked second in the previous poll, received five first-place votes and 194 total points, four more than Tallahassee Community College (37-5), which had four No. 1 votes.

Iowa Western (29-7) is third, followed by Southern Nevada (28-9), Grayson (28-8), Cowley County (29-7) and former No. 1 Lamar (Colo.) CC (33-9).

Completing the top 10: Central Arizona (34-9), Delgado (32-7) and Faulkner State (30-6).

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (19-9) fell five spots in the poll to No. 20.

Crowder hits the road for four games this weekend against Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Mo.
