BLOG: New turf down at Pitt State

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A quick break from the MLB All-Star game as I've staked down a spot in the air-conditioned media work room.

Looks like the new turf at Pittsburg State's Carnie Smith Stadium is progressing nicely. The turf is in place, as can be seen on this live webcam.

The school did, indeed, go with black end zones. I'm not sure what to think of it since black is nowhere in the school's color scheme, but I'll hold off on an opinion until I see it in person.
