Dallas Christian, shooting 60 percent from the field, beat Ozark Christian 103-81 in men’s basketball on Friday night.
The Ambassadors, 18-4, also committed 23 turnovers to just 13 by Dallas Christian. OCC shot 43.8 percent from the floor on 28 of 64 compared to the winner’s 42 of 70.
Kyle Wicklund scored 23 points for OCC. Other double-figure scorers for OCC were Darrin Chitwood (15), Zac Hill (12), Kendall Wingert (10) and Cameron Woodring (10). Wingert added eight assists and Hill had nine rebounds.
Dallas Christian received 27 points from Malcolm McCarty and 25 from Max Berman. They combined to hit 22 of 29 casts from the field. Berman drilled all four trey attempts.
Crowder triumphs
HILLSBORO, Mo. — The Lady ’Riders made it 18-4 overall and 4-0 against NJCAA Region 16 opponents by trimming Jefferson 77-53.
Crowder was ahead 44-20 at the half.
Crowder scoring leaders were Terai Sadler (17), Caprese Marshall (13), Dorian Briggs (11) and Seleena Neal (10).
Veronica Amos and Sarah Sagely added 10 and nine rebounds, respectively, for Crowder. Camila Lacerda had seven assists, Sagely and Sadler three steals apiece and Amos three blocked shots and Sadler two.
“We had a very good first half,” Crowder coach Tina Robbins said. “We were sloppy in the second half, however, and didn’t play with as much intensity as we did in the first half.”
Crowder entertains Moberly at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in Bob Sneller Gymnasium. Jefferson visits at 2 p.m. next Saturday and an alumni game will follow.

Lamar runs to title
