SEDALIA, Mo. —
Crowder rallied to force an overtime before subduing State Fair 85-73 in an NJCAA Division I Region 16 women’s basketball game on Wednesday night.
Crowder (23-4, 7-0) limited State Fair to two free throws with 13 seconds left in the overtime.
The Lady ’Riders lost Sarah Sagely, their No. 2 scorer, to an apparent leg injury nine minutes into the contest, according to Crowder coach Tina Robbins.
Robbins said the Lady ’Riders rallied from perhaps an eight-point deficit in the second half to force the extra session at 71.
Terai Sadler scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace Crowder.
Camila Lacerda, who tallied 16, added seven boards and eight assists. Caprese Marshall added 12 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. Seleena Neal and Marshall had five and four steals.
Crowder visits Mineral Area at Park Hills (Mo.) at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
