Cook improves to 8-0 with knockout

WICHITA, Kan. — Seneca native Dillon Cook improved his boxing record to 8-0 with a first-round knockout against Michael Limpy on Saturday night at the Beech Activity Center in Wichita, Kan.

Cook (8-0, 4 KOs), a middleweight, knocked Limpy (0-3) down 40 seconds into the fight with a jab. After Limpy got back up, Cook finished him with a right cross at the 1:16 mark of the first round.

Cook, who trains at Heartland Boxing Club in Galena, Kan., is expected to fight next at St. Louis in October.
