NEOSHO, Mo. —
Terai Sadler scored 33 points and grabbled eight rebounds in leading No. 25 Crowder College past Jefferson College 90-52 in a women’s junior college game Saturday afternoon in Bob Sneller Gymnasium.
Crowder, which led 42-19 at halftime, improved to 20-4 overall and 6-0 in the region.
Camila Lacerda had 20 points, six rebounds and six assists, and Sarah Sagely had 11 points, six rebounds and five steals.
Vanessa Winston led Jefferson with 21 points.
Cottey 73, Hesston 62
NEVADA, Mo. — Blaklee Sanders collected 24 points, 11 rebounds and six assists to spark Cottey, ranked No. 20 in NJCAA Division II, past Hesston at the Hinkhouse.
Sanders, who converted 11-of-12 free throws, scored 10 points in the first half when Cottey (14-1) built a 39-27 advantage.
Dayna Turnbull and Kat Zumalt scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Cottey. Turnbull also had six assists as Cottey made 25-of-46 field goals, including 6-of-13 from 3-point range.
Bryana Young, Makayla Ladwig and Destavia Davis all had 12 points for Hesston.
Cottey’s next game is at 1 p.m. Saturday against St. Louis Community College.
