SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Ozark Christian College, with five players scoring in double figures, overwhelmed Calvary Bible 76-51 Friday to advance to the women’s final of the NCCAA Central Regional Basketball Tournament.
The top-seeded Ambassadors will take on second-seeded Baptist Bible of Springfield in today’s 1 p.m. final.
Megan Gariss netted 19 points to lead OCC (25-9) and all scorers. Amber Wilson collected 17 points, Breann Stephens 16 and Chrissy Lahm and Jordan Schroeder 10 apiece for the Ambassadors, who led 40-28 at halftime.
Emily Martin led Calvary Bible with 18.
Although the Ambassadors struggled with three-pointers, hitting only three of 17, they sparkled at the free throw line, going 23 -for-27.
